Rust or grime on the tool can reduce its performance and overall quality. We recommend cleaning it regularly and using/storing it in ways that minimize rust.


  • After use, wipe off any dirt and moisture from the body—especially the blades.

  • Store indoors in a dedicated scissor pouch or tool box.

  • When wiping, apply a light coat of blade oil (food-grade cooking oil is acceptable) to protect the metal and help prevent rust.

  • Aim to keep the tool in a low-humidity environment and avoid conditions that promote corrosion.
