Care & Maintenance

Rust or grime on the tool can reduce its performance and overall quality. We recommend cleaning it regularly and using/storing it in ways that minimize rust.

  • After use, wipe off any dirt and moisture from the body—especially the blades.
  • Store indoors in a dedicated scissor pouch or tool box.
  • When wiping, apply a light coat of blade oil (food-grade cooking oil is acceptable) to protect the metal and help prevent rust.
  • Aim to keep the tool in a low-humidity environment and avoid conditions that promote corrosion.

Note: We also offer dedicated maintenance products that make it easy to remove dirt and rust thoroughly.

Handling Precautions

This product is a cutting tool designed only for horticultural use. It is not suitable for cutting materials other than plants.

Even with plants, cutting dry wood with low moisture content, bamboo, or hardened wood in cold climates may cause damage. Please use with care.

Do not cut: artificial flowers, wire, or plastic.
